There MUST be someone home to accept the package when it is delivered in cold temperatures. Plants left sitting outside in freezing weather will not survive long. There is only so much a heat pack can protect against. If you need to, we can have the package held at the post office for pick up instead. This is a request made via written note on the package and is at the post offices discretion whether or not to hold for pick up or deliver to home. In order to give the shipment its best chance, many times we will hold the order for an early week shipment, Monday through Wednesday, or Saturday to make sure the order isn't sitting at a post office over the weekend allowing the heat pack to expire.
