Description: This listing offers 1/4 pound of live Chaetomorpha Macro Algae, also known as Chaeto. This species is a perfect macro algae for marine aquariums. Chaeto is sturdy enough for beginners and new tanks. Macro Algae can help maintain a healthy aquarium environment by acting as a nutrient export method and as a home for copepods and amphipods. We sell chaeto by weight as it is a more objective and consistent way to measure than volume (chaeto can be packed into a cup loosely or tightly and you would get very different amounts). We weigh and portion the algae immediately after removing it from the water, then add a small amount of freshly mixed salt water. Chaeto ships very well damp, it does not need to be fully submerged in water. Shipping days are Monday thru Wednesday to ensure your chaeto does not dwell over the weekend. We pack your chaeto based on the weather it will travel through, and it will arrive alive and well even if shipping delays occur. Our chaeto farm system is restocked from an active reef aquarium and will come loaded with copepods, amphipods, and stomatella snails (great little algae eaters that can multiply in your aquarium). We cannot and do not provide any guarantees around what is not in it as we often add corals to our reef. We guarantee live arrival of our live specimens contingent on being notified of DOA (dead on arrival) within TWO HOURS of the delivery (must be the first delivery attempt), along with a geotagged photo.
