At first I thought it might be Jewish but then I noticed that whatever book was being depicted began with the letter "T" at the open book's top left side which would preclude this from being Jewish - I would think. In my experience, only about 1 in 20 vintage printer's line cuts are made from copper. Most are made from zinc (and a few made from lead via the stereotyping process). One scan shows the line cut as it will look when you pull it out of the package (with the "T" on YOUR upper right side of the book). The other scan (with the letter "T" on YOUR upper left side of the book) is "flipped" or reversed and shows - basically - what the printed image will look like when it is printed onto a piece of paper (only the image will be smaller as this scan is zoomed up larger than actual size). Do not go by the pictures/scans above to judge size; strictly go by the dimensions I gave in the first paragraph here. A hobbyist letterpress printer or boutique print shop (with letterpress equipment) could find all sorts of uses for this line cut. Some moderate old print shop patina else very good ________________________________________________________________________ (the fine print ...
