Description: As General Motors started selling diesel engines to replace steam, GM felt that they needed to sell the public on this new method of powering everything from locomotives to trucks. Not a lot of these survived and I personally have never seen another copy of this publication. It was found in a file cabinet that I purchased when EMD was tearing down their locomotive manufacturing plant in LaGrange, Illinois. For some reason, I felt inclined to save this and recently rediscovered it in a box I was going through. This booklet does not contain any illustrations. 5 written pages that mention the importance of Electro-Motive, Detroit Diesel, Cleveland Diesel and Diesel Equipment. This booklet is unique in that it was prepared by the Research Laboratories Division of General Motors. I don't think they made a lot of these. Will send USPS
