The SM9 is commonly referred to as one of the best typewriters ever built. The machine does function properly as best I can test it. Note: the line space arm requires a new pin (highlighted in the last listing picture) to properly function. You can just stick a screw and nut in the hole and it will hold and work just fine, or you can likely source an original Olympia line space arm pin relatively easily. I have given it a light cleaning with Simple Green and mineral spirits, but as always, I would recommend a tune-up from a professional for optimal performance. The case is in great functional shape overall, with some light wear marks. I have sold one typewriter on eBay before and do have a good understanding of how to ship an antique machine with lots of moving parts properly.
