1979 S Kennedy Half Dollar PCGS PR69DCAM Type 1 & 2 Clad Proof Coin 50C

Description: This is a 1979-S (San Francisco) Kennedy Clad Proof Half Dollar PCGS PR69DCAM "Type 1" and "Type 2" (Proof 69 Deep Cameo). These "Types" refer to the mintmark style with the "Type 1" being more blobby and the "Type 2" more clear looking. These are Variety type coin that can be found in the Cherrypickers' Guide and recognized by CONECA. The "Type 1" comes in an older PCGS Blue Label slab while the "Type 2" is a more modern slab. The older style holder does have some marks and the hologram on the back is slightly torn. The modern slab is ok, but the coin does have a light hue of goldish tone on each side. The stickers on the front read "Exceptional Cameo Contrast", but it is likely from some third party just trying to increase value somehow.
