PUBL:Langsdorf This is a nice selection of BIRTHDAY postcards that have the classic motifs that were seen on antique postcards from the early 1900s. These have FLOWERS, RURAL SCENES, BIRDS, SWAN, AIR SHIP, ANCHOR, etc. Three of the postcards have GOLD Trim and one has SILVER Trim. These postcards are EMBOSSED. The postcards are nicely made. They are colorful and attractive to look at. They are from the same publisher, Samuel Langsdorf. The postcards were published by Samuel Langsdorf (1906-1918). This firm was noted for their nicely illustrated postcards with decorative borders as well as halftone postcards. They printed in Germany during the “Golden Age of Postcards”, and their logo looks like angel wings. These are good postcards to add to a collection. They would appeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and show a glimpse of life back then. They have good detail, and they are a pleasure to look at. Overall, a nice selection of antique Birthday postcards at a very reasonable price. The postcards are UNPOSTED (5) and POSTED (2) with cancel dates of 1908-09. These would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS Ground Advantage when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
