The tonneau cover is the lid that opens to allow the convertible top to be stored in the top compartment. Over time, the motor drive assembly fails due to design failure and the tonneau cover will not move or gets stuck or you may hear a stripping of gears noise. Our repair addresses all concerns! Literally Save Hundreds of $$$ by following these instructions. All you do is remove the assembly and send it to us for repair. The part weighs about 10lbs total to ship. We ship USPS Priority Mail 2-3 days shipping. Because there are micro and other sensing devices mounted on the motor assembly you may need to take it to the dealer or another qualified business to re-calibrate the top. This requires a special scan tool to interface with the computer that controls top operation. You need to calibrate the system so the assembly can remain in working condition. There are other ways to calibrate other than the dealership. ask if interested. If you want to remove the unit yourself, we can send instructions in PDF form once purchase has been made. Note: you send the motor and bracket assembly together, just like the photo. please make sure the packing is sufficient so nothing is damaged. If you can remove the 4mm allen screw and remove the driveshaft, you can fit the assembly into a USPS Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box and save on shipping. Most of the time we can have the part repaired in 1 to 2 days + your 2 days shipping. If you want the part shipped over night, the costs are extra.
