Description: Antique c1912 Taisho Period Japanese Aoki Brothers Blue and White Arita Bowl A lovely Aoki Brothers blue and white bowl from the Taisho period, c1912. Beautifully decorated with floral panels to the outside and with an image of a traveller with a deer to the inside. Finished with brown edging and trim. Clearly marked with the Aoki Brothers under glazed mark to the base. There have been a couple of chips to the outer rim (both restored) and there are three vertical hairline cracks to the rim (two smaller cracks and one larger). Please see pictures for more information. The bowl diameter is 18.5cm rim to rim, 8.5cm base, 8.5cm high and weighs 790g. Hardwood stand not included.
