Description: CAMILLUS OR UTICA? Stockman's pattern, Vintage: This is a stockman pattern in the classic sense, two cutters and an awl. The tang-stamp has been ground off the blade, indicating that this knife is a "second" quality product; the cutlery quality control inspector judged it to be not good enough to carry its brand name, but good enough for the aftermarket. The only flaw I can see is that the handle-scales are cut short at the head end of the knife. Current condition is very good, though. Blades have minor pitting from living with celluloid-handled knives but the pits are "young" and not rusted or corroded. The blades all polished up very nicely to a mirror shine. They have no gouges from sharpening, and seem to have factory edge. Cavity is clean, frame is square and solid with bolsters and pins set firmly. Springs are intact and give good walk and talk. Awl is unawltered. (Ha! See what I did there?) Handles are shiny and have no chips or cracks but are trimmed a little short at the head. It's a good knife for EDC with an unconfirmed flaw, made in USA by a reputable cutler. Mailing only to USA-48. Postage is usually between $5.00 and $6.26. Buyer pays $4.00, I will pay the rest.
