Description: The Lotton Art Glass studio began operation in 1970 by its founder Charles Lotton in a small building behind his house. By 1973 due to the rapid popularity of his unique art glass, Charles moved his operation to a larger facility after which he was joined by two of his sons Daniel and John Lotton. A relatively early example, this vase shows the talents of Charles as he continued to grow his studio. He called this design “multi floral“ as large hibiscus sixe blooms adorn the body with other shapes resembling leaves and stems using a selenium red base glass color. The vase measures 7 1/2” tall and approximately 5” diameter across the broadest region of the body. The top rim measures 3” diameter. Thorough examination reveals no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. I see no staining or residue on the inside from use. The artist signature, date of production as well as design name clearly visible; etched in the glass surrounding the flat bottom. As the popularity of Lotton art glass continues to grow, here is a chance to add a beautiful example to your collection. Due to the value of this item, it will be double boxed, shipped either FedEx ground/home delivery or UPS ground, fully insured at a fixed price, signature will be required upon delivery. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
