There is crazing on the plates and 1 small chip on the edge of a dinner plate and saucer. In each set of 8, some of the plates have imperfections on the back side of them.. All of them need to be handwashed. I do not see any knife marks on the plates. No cracks or breaks in the plates. Due to Lighting and differences in computer screens, photo coloring may come out a bit different from the actual color.
