The first chain probably broke because of the weight of all these beautiful real Rubies & white Zircon stones. All the sterling has been Rhodium plated. This is a good thing, Rhodium is a member of the platinum family & when used over sterling, it not only makes it stronger but more importantly saves us from having to polish sterling all the time.
