Description: Up for sale is a lot of four Royal Doulton transferware dinner plates from the early 1900s. These plates are part of a larger set based on the artwork of George Morland. These plates have a green grapevine on the rim accented with gold. The backstamp was in use by Royal Doulton from 1902-1923, it was changed to backstamp from the previous one to mark the grant of the Royal Warrant by King Edward VII. In addition to the backstamp, the underside of these plates have other various underglaze impressed stamps, numbers, what appears to be makers signatures, and one has the RN NO of 374874. These plates measure 9.5" in diameter. There are no cracks but there is crazing and two of the plates have one tiny chip each on the rim (pictured in sequenced photos). These are in nice shape for their age but have wear, please refer to the photos for condition and feel free to ask any questions before bidding. Thanks so much for looking!
