Description: This is an approximately 6x9" hand-written letter by the legendary boxer/comedian Maxie Rosenbloom to his girlfriend. He was an American professional boxer, actor, and television personality. Nicknamed “Slapsie Maxie”, he was inducted into The Ring's Boxing Hall of Fame in 1972, the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1984, the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 1985, and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1993. The letter is 3 pages long and was written in steel-tip fountain pen in the mid 1930's on letterhead from The Floridian Hotel in Miami, FL. It has fantastic content about his troubles at the time with money and communicating and is very legible. The letter is in excellent condition.
