Description: So i started this back when I first moved to AZ in 2001. I'm going through a creative funk and started going through my old sketches and applying what I've learned over the years and finishing them. Skin walkers are well known in AZ as folklore, I've seen them and in no way dismissing them as imagination or anything that can be arrogantly dismissed. I grew up with Wendigos in MN and they're very real. I would say they're interdimensional beings and that's a whole other conversation. So this peice is coming from a place of fascination and awe. I made this first with bic pen and then I went over it with pencils and then copic liner pens for depth and then watercolor pencils to make the landscape and sky pop. I finished this 4-28-24.
