Description: This listing is for a pair of intricately detailed candleholders. The design, detailing, and weight captured my attention, as I had yet to see anything similar. In doing a little research, I found a nearly identical holder, listing it as Jennings Brothers production— except that one had a number on the bottom rim, and these two don't, from what I can see. If they are from this company, it means they are old and certainly seem to be. The Jennings Brothers started manufacturing finely crafted metal items in Connecticut in 1891 and closed their doors in the early 1900s. To list a few details, these candleholders feature windmills, boats, and craftspeople. The brass tone has worn over the decades, giving it a shabbier appearance, but they are beautiful and quite rare. They measure approximately 2 1/4" tall and 3" across at the base. Together, they weigh just under 14 ounces. One weighs 7 1/4 ounces, the other 6 1/2. Please refer to the pictures for the best description. I welcome questions, and thanks for looking.
