Description: For your consideration is a Rare and Hard to find early 1900s Souvenir Watch Fob from CAWSTON OSTRICH FARM that was located in South Pasadena CA. How many have been to an ostrich farm? Better yet, who has an antique watch fob from an ostrich farm? Probably not too many. This farm was opened in 1886 in Pasadena, California by an Edwin Cawston. It was America's first osterich farm, and was located in the Arroyo Seco Valley, just three miles north of Los Angeles and occupied nine acres. This fob is in very good condition for its age, with some wear of the silver plate around the edges and on the high spots of the fob. The fob is over 100 years old and used, so there are the usual tiny scratches and marks from use. The fob measures about 1 1/2" inches wide by 1 5/8" inches tall and was made by Robbins Co. of Attleboro, Mass. Just needs a new leather strap (wich are available on eBay) and then it will be ready for use. Please review the pictures to verify the condition of the fob. I will consider offers, so don't be shy about making one. All sales are final. Sorry, no returns or refunds.
