Description: Original Nicholas II era (1894-1917) silver Rouble struck in 1897 in Brussels, Belgium (should be 2 stars on the rim). During minting star rays on some of the original dies got broken off; before the damage was discovered a small quantity of these mint errors went unnoticed and ended up in circulation. This error type is called “гурт с птичками - birds on the rim” in Russian numismatics – these error specimens are hard to find in any shape or form nowadays. The coin is about 34 mm in diameter, 20 grams. About VF condition specimen with good eye appeal; typical wear, nothing major. Original light-gray patina throughout; not cleaned; these are the actual photos.
