Description: ONE OF A KIND!! This listing includes ground Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite Stardust/Crystals in various weights. Meteorites have different densities and for that reason the dust/shavings vary in texture from a somewhat fine powder like consistency but also include a significant amount of stringy shaving pieces. We do not separate or screen the sizing of the meteorites due to the natural iron that occurs within them. Please refer to Canyon Diablo and the Muonionalusta meteorites for a comparable consistency to this Seymchan Meteorite Stardust. Please keep in mind one gram of product is a very small amount due to meteorites being very dense. Includes one copy of the certificate of authenticity, there is a small charge for additional copies. This is pure Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite Stardust Crystals with no resin or additives. Color may vary slightly from photograph, due to it being a natural product 100% Natural genuine Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite Stardust. Natural stone, no dye or colors have been added to our product. We take great pride and time in sourcing out our natural materials, being able to offer the purest product possible The Seymchan Meteorite was discovered in June, 1967 by a geologist doing a survey on a tributary of the river Hekandue in Magadan, Russia. A triangular shaped mass weighing 272.3 kilos was lying among the stones of the brook bed. A second specimen of 51 kg was found in October 1967 at a distance of 20m from the first one in June. Because it had previously been thought to be an iron meteorite, it was classified as an IIE anomalous coarse octahedrite. Since 2004, many specimens have been recovered and some, when cut, have been found to contain olivine silicates. Once the Seymchan Meteorite was discovered to contain olivine, it was reclassified as a stony iron main group meteorite. This meteorite contains high levels of iridium and is known as the most rust resistant meteorite.
