See photos Thank You From the card: The design of this silk scarf was inspired by the striped dhurries in a late-nineteenth-century water color painting of Tansi Thakur Bag Singh, who ruled a small fiefdom between Jaipur and Udaipur. In this colorful arrangement, painted by Ram Narayan in 1880, the throned thakur is surrounded by a splendid array of courtiers, musicians, gym- nasts, stallions, duck ponds, English gaslights, and even a "Ferris wheel." The painting is from the collection of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan.
