Vintage 1960's Zodiac Sea Wolf Diver w/Mint Dial,Signed Crown FOR PARTS/REPAIR

And while the date and time can be set without issue and the original crown winds smoothly when it's turned counterclockwise it unscrews. Additionally the case back gasket has deteriorated and needs to be replaced as does the crystal. After taking off the case back I'm unable to get it pressed back on securely so the watch will be shipped as seen in the last picture. Given these issues and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced at a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This vintage late 1960's Zodiac Sea Wolf has a pristine glossy black "SWISS T < 25 MC" signed dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a warm buttermilk hue. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial. The bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely with the butterscotch inverted lume triangle complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back is stamped "ZODIAC SEAWOLF WATER - TESTED 20 ATM - ESPECIALLY" and the inside of the case back is stamped "Zodiac Ltd" followed by "Le Locle Swiss,""ACIER,""INOXYDABLE" and "722 - 916." Between the lugs at 6 o'clock are the stamped numbers "1890492." The crystal needs to be replaced. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "Zodiac Ltd." and "70-72" stamped automatic movement does not run. And while the date and time can be set without issue and the original crown winds smoothly when it's turned counterclockwise it unscrews. Additionally the case back gasket needs to be replaced. The date wheel rolls over at 12 am. After taking off the case back I'm unable to get it pressed back on securely so the watch will be shipped as seen in the last picture. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38 mm including the crown and approximately 17.75 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 43 mm. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
