VINTAGE REVERE WARE 1801 COPPER CLAD SAUCEPANS 1QT W/LID OLD MARK & 1.5QT NO LID

Description: Very nice and hard to find Revere Ware 1801 Copper Clad 1 qt. (w/lid) and 1.5 qt (no lid) saucepans which are in very good condition for age. They are clean and shiny , no dents, discoloration or warped bottoms; handles are in good condition and firmly attached and they both have mirror finish with only normal use scratching consistent with age. NOTE: I always clean and polish all the Revere Ware I sell and go to great lengths to describe any flaws that might exist. I DO NOT sell the newer Revere which was made in Indonesia - it is a very inferior quality! The 1 qt saucepan is the older "process patent" mark and was made in Clinton, Ill. The handle is the older 2 piece handle with 2 screws and the handle is firmly attached with hanging loop in place. The lid is also in good condition and knob is firmly attached and in good condition also. This saucepan measures 3 inches in height and has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches at upper rim. The 1.5 qt saucepan does not have a lid. The handle is in good condition, firmly attached and also has the hanging loop. The 1.5 qt saucepan is 3 1/4 inches in height and has a diameter at upper rim of 6 1/4 inches. It was made in Clinton, Ill and is marked on bottom "1801 Revere Ware 1 1/2 Qt - 87 Clinton, Ill. USA". Revere Ware's copper clad cookware has become highly collectible as younger generations realize the quality and discover that this vintage line is really the "Gold Standard" of American cookware. I have been buying and selling this cookware for some years; and using it since I was a teen. However, with its popularity it has become more and more difficult to find Revere Ware in decent condition and priced reasonably. Saucepans of this smaller size are particularly hard to find in good condition! I purchased these saucepans at a local estate sale; however I already have 2 each of these sizes so am selling. This is a great opportunity to add 2 practical saucepans and a lid to your Revere Ware cookware at a very reasonable price! Note: Remember that Revere Ware cookware is NOT designed to be used on glass or ceramic top stoves. It is for use on gas cooktops and the conventional coil electric cooktops. Revere has rounded edge bottoms and will often not sit securely on the flat ceramic/glass top stoves. It was designed long before ceramic/glass top stoves came into existence. I do not recommend purchasing Revere Ware online that has not been cleaned and polished - you cannot see flaws which may exist beneath all the dirt and tarnish! NOTE: I highly recommend "Barkeeper's Friend" to clean the stainless and polish the copper - it works very well without being too abrasive. The powdered version is better than the liquid! You can also use the mineral oil for butcher blocks to condition the handles and knobs of your cookware if they begin to get dull. Revere Ware should NOT be washed in the dishwasher if you want the handles and knobs to remain shiny and in good condition. Prolonged dishwasher use will dry them out and cause discoloration and breakage. I have used Revere Ware Copper Clad cookware exclusively for many years (as did my mother and grandmother) and I highly recommend it. In my opinion, it is the best cookware ever made! 1.
