As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives. Throughout WW2, numerous manufactures produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue. Made of wood and steel, this mid-war German Combat Fighting Knife is in EXCELLENT condition considering it's age. The blade does show some marks, stains, and wear, but nothing that detracts. Blade has been sharpened, as you can see in the photos. The scabbard is included, and is original to this knife. Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
